Westminster is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Westminster follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Called ahead of time to see if they had sagebrush, they said yes. I arrived and had to ask three times before the skinny woman in the front told the person helping me to do something else. After wandering around, asking more people for help, they told me they don’t have it. Don’t waste your time, unorganized and unfriendly. The person trying to help me kept getting ignored by the staff, he was the only helpful person on site.

Not going back... I wanted to hopefully find a new place to source plants locally and tried Sakioka for the first time in January. Bought a small tree that had no leaves - 'its dormant', of course, so planted and waited. Mid-March, no leaves. Late April, no leaves. When contacting the nursery about any kind of short term guarantee or warranty on plants they sell, every attempt to contact was met with diversion or outright avoidance, implying 'we don't stand behind what we sell'. For all I know, the tree wasn't even alive when I purchased it. Lesson learned, I guess. Unfortunately, we'll keep looking elsewhere.

The best nursery in OC. Great selection, very helpful staff, great customer service if you ask for Sergio. The guys working there are very helpful too, just avoid the skinny girl in the office. She made mistakes on our orders before. The owner seems nice, we saw her sometimes. Highly recommend!

Summary version: Pro: helpful staff, great price (cheaper than homedepot) Con: plants not labeled nor categorized well, staff hesitate to walk further from office to help customers, Return process is a hassle (return policy doesn't mention restocking fee percentage, restocking fee sentence not clearly printed, plants are nitpicked with every little thing when returned). Full version: My experience was a mixed depending on who helped me that day. None of the plants has any label in the pot like Homedepot ones so it was very tough determining which plants to get. They were not really categorized well (only shaded group or full sun group). Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming here without knowing what you want to get. There are a lot of staff at the office that are always ready to help once someone pulled over at the parking area. Of all the people I've spoken to (Irene, Cathy, Stephanie, Jacquelynn, Zack, Junior), Zack and Cathy appeared to be most knowledgable when it comes to plant, plant types, size and requirements. They were able to pinpoint the exact plants I would need based on my description of water usage, location and size. Jacquelynn was also super helpful and she eve
